My Poems

Autumn's Leaf

Autumn's leaf falling to the ground
I can almost hear the sound
as it flutters round and round.

When you look around all the trees have frowns
because all their leaves have fallen down.

Then, you look up and there's but one left
still hanging above the ground
And suddenly, the wind picks it up
to carry it off to another town.

Once again another tree has a frown.
As you stand alone waiting around,
you finally sigh and say
there will be more autumn leaves another day.

Willow Tree

Willow tree do not weep.
I'll be there to help you sleep.

Dry your eyes and do not cry.
It is time to say goodbye.

I'm going away,
but I'll see you someday.

When I come back,
the days won't be black.

Willow tree do not weep.
I'll be back to help you sleep.

The Path

She hears the wind rushing down the mountain
The leaves are dancing in rhythm to the music of the wind.

She closes her eyes and awaits the wind to find her.
Her hair dances as if it were leaves.
She falls to feel the grass rolling all around her in the meadow.

The wild flowers release their call to the honey bees.
Birds give melody of joy to the song of nature.

The wind has gone on taking a part of her with it.
Without knowing where it will go,
She ponders on where it has been.

A path left imprinted by the wind,
but she wonders when it will be felt again..

Something Else Felt

Often I close my eyes to escape a lonely sigh
and remember your eyes looking through me.
A smile I longed to see, lips soft and seducing me
Words fill the delicate empty space in-between you and me.
You illuminate my darkest corners and change the beat of my heart.
I am tantalized by the hope you have given to my dreams.

It's funny when you think you finished first
but you came in last..
The one time you needed something to last
and handicapped by the past

There are no words in the shadows beyond the light.
The wonder of you seeps through evoking a need
that dominates the dark night to day.

The Hourglass is Out of Sand

I sat here as you left me
I felt the tears start to form
One by one they ran down my face
But it didn't matter because you were gone.

They hit the floor each time
like shattering crystals of what use to be.
I picked the pieces of shattered dreams off the floor
and gazed into the memories

Dolphin Out Of The Sea

Awake yet, asleep
Anticipating the moon to sink
Beyond his reach, lies a world unique.

His life becomes entangled
surrounded by his hopes and dreams.
He escapes with one hand free
but another delays his flee.

He races through water yet clear
but scared he will die there.
He is lucid but yet in a dream
wondering what shall become of him.

The once embedded appearance
of what he seeks became bleak.

Small sparks which once withered within
revealed their secrets and would not descend.
The vigorous flame of desire
now arose higher and higher.

He strikes forward and follows the stream
bewildered by the current he only dreamed.
He slows to a glide and reopens his eyes.

Undaunted by memories, the discovery he's free.
No longer a dolphin out of the sea…
